The patron of Bracigliano is Saint John the Baptist, celebrated on 24 June in the Chiesa Madre di San Giovanni Battista, with the Sagra del Mallone.
Good Friday, though a day of penance and fasting for Christians awaiting Easter, is lived in Bracigliano as a true family feast with fish-based dishes: in the morning the sacred mysteries are re-enacted, in the afternoon the procession of the dead Christ and Our Lady of Sorrows is held, followed by bonfires lit on the mountains around the town. The other hamlets hold their own feasts, such as the Sagra del Mascuotto for Saints Nazarius and Celsus and the Sagra del Convento at the Convent of San Francesco.
