The patron of Cannalonga is Saint Turibius of Mogrovejo, celebrated on 23 March.
The town's great occasion is the Fiera della Frecagnola, a thousand-year-old event that arose in the late Middle Ages in honour of Saint Lucy: it is first attested in 1452, until the end of the seventeenth century it was held on 13 December outside the old hamlet, near a rural chapel dedicated to Saint Lucy, in the mid-eighteenth century Duke Toribio Mogrovejo moved it to September and since 1885 it has fallen on the Saturday before the second Sunday of September; on the occasion the traditional dish that gives it its name is eaten.
