The patron saint of Nocera Superiore is Saint Cyrus, celebrated with solemn festivities on 31 January in the hamlet of Pareti. In the same hamlet, in June, the «'a Trasuta e San Ciro» feast is also held together with the National «Salata di San Ciro» Contest.
The municipal territory, rich in hamlets each with its own religious traditions, also hosts the International Madonnari Competition and the feast of Saint Pasquale Baylon and Holy Mary of Constantinople in May, and the feast of Santa Maria Materdomini on 14 and 15 August, at the sanctuary basilica of the same name. Nocera Superiore also holds the Palaeochristian baptistery of Santa Maria Maggiore and the Roman theatre of Nuceria Alfaterna.
