The patron saints of Copparo are Saints Peter and Paul, celebrated on 29 June in the church dedicated to them; co-patron is Saint Lucy, celebrated on 13 December.
Every year in June, the Palio di Copparo is held, a historical re-enactment between the town's districts linked to the hunting parties that Ercole II d'Este used to hold in the Copparo area in the 16th century. The municipal territory also holds the Delizia di Copparo and the Church of Santi Lorenzo e Vito, as well as the De Micheli Municipal Theatre.
