The patron of Tolfa is Saint Giles the Abbot, celebrated on 1 September.
A second striking procession is that of Saint Anthony the Abbot, protector of animals: his statue, carried on shoulders through the streets of the historic centre, is surrounded by hundreds of citizens who light the streets with wax torches. On 17 January, the saint's feast day, the traditional blessing of animals is also held. The «Giuseppe Verdi» musical band animates the processions and popular feasts, especially at Christmas and Carnival. The town also holds the Piantangeli Abbey.
