The patron of Capranica is Saint Terentianus of Todi: the town celebrates him on the first Sunday of September, even though the liturgical feast, marking the anniversary of his death and martyrdom, falls on the 1st of that month.
The processional event is called by locals the «processione delle cocciarelle», because in the past vendors of small handmade terracotta wares used to gather along the route. The town also holds the Romanesque Temple of San Francesco and the Church of San Giovanni Evangelista.
