The patroness of Cisano sul Neva is Saint Mary Magdalene, celebrated on 22 July. The parish church dedicated to her, in the historic centre, has medieval origins: the present structure is thought to date from a 17th-century rebuilding, as does the Baroque-style bell tower. Opposite the parish church stands the civic tower, with a clock and bell, carved from a pre-existing Romanesque-Gothic bell tower incorporated into the medieval walls. Near the cemetery stands the church of San Calogero, which according to popular tradition was built in the 11th century by Benedictine monks from the island of Gallinara: traces of its Romanesque style still survive, with original arches and pilasters, and it probably served as a hospital shelter.
The hamlet of Conscente is dominated by the 16th-century medieval castle, while the hamlet of Cenesi, joined to the municipality in 1929 together with Conscente itself and the locality of Martinetto, lies in a small side valley. In the parish church of Sant'Alessandro Pope, in Conscente, built a few years after 1600, the banker Ottavio Costa commissioned the painter Guido Reni to paint the Beheading of Saint Catherine of Alexandria, dated 1606 and later transferred to the diocesan museum of Albenga.
