The patrons of Volongo are Saints Peter and Paul and the Madonna del Campanile; on 29 June the feast of the patrons, the apostles Peter and Paul, is celebrated, while on the second Sunday of October the Fiera d'ottobre (October fair) is held. The village holds the Chiesa dei Santi Apostoli Pietro e Paolo.
The calendar of feasts includes, on 17 January, sant'Antonio abate (Saint Anthony the Abbot), honoured with the traditional bonfire; on 13 June the neighbourhood feast of sant'Antonio da Padova at the shrine of the Basaglia family; and, on Christmas night, the procession for the birth of the Baby Jesus at the nativity scene on the river.
