The patron of Abbadia Lariana is Saint Apollonia, celebrated on 9 February.
The town holds the Museo Setificio Monti, dedicated to the history of silk on Lake Como, and the Torre di Crebbio, as well as the Church of San Lorenzo and the Church of Sant'Antonio Abate.
