The patron of Vercurago is Saint Jerome Emiliani, celebrated on 8 February in the hamlet of Somasca, the anniversary of his death. The following Sunday brings the fiera di san Girolamo at the basilica square and the fiera della Valletta in the historic centre.
The town holds the Shrine of San Girolamo Emiliani on the Sacro Monte di Somasca, the Chapel of San Girolamo and the Church of Santi Gervasio e Protasio.
