Although Saint John the Baptist is the formal patron of Asso, the feast of Saint Apollonia on 9 February is far more deeply felt, its culminating moment being the burning of the balloon.
Every first Saturday of October, the Festa del Cavallo is held, an important livestock event organized by the Comunità Montana del Triangolo Lariano together with the town and the Pro Asso association. The town also holds the Oratory of Santi Giovanni e Paolo and the Church of Sant'Antonio Abate.
