The patrons of Maleo are Saints Gervasius and Protasius, celebrated on the fourth Sunday of October in the Church of Santi Gervasio e Protasio.
The same Sunday hosts the Sagra patronale di San Sulpizio, dedicated to the town's co-patron: the date commemorates the translation to Maleo of one of his relics, on 23 October 1661. The festival has been held for over 350 editions since the 17th century, combining religious and civic events. The town also holds the Castello Trecchi and the Arco Trecchi.
