The patron of Masate is Saint John the Evangelist, and the patronal feast falls on 27 December, in the Church of San Giovanni Evangelista.
Throughout the month of May, the Maggio Masatese is celebrated, a succession of sporting, exhibition, commercial and recreational events that enliven the town's weekends. The town also holds the Lavatoio on the Villoresi Canal and the Parco delle Foppe di Masate.
