The patron saint of Motta Visconti is Saint John the Baptist, celebrated on 24 June in the Church of San Giovanni Battista.
The month of June is named after the patronal feast: every weekend something different is organised, from stalls along the streets to concerts, dinners in the square and fairground rides. The municipal administration also organises the Cherry Festival, with a play area and the closure of some of the town's streets. The town also holds the Ada Negri Museum and the Church of Sant'Anna.
