The patron saint of Brugherio is Saint Bartholomew, celebrated on 24 August.
Every September, since 1984, the Cascina di Occhiate hosts the Festa di Occhiate, also known as the Festa sull'Aia, created at the wish of Anselmo and Luigi Peraboni to keep local folk traditions alive. The most distinctive feature of the event is the «goose palio», known in local dialect as «palio di uchèt per tut i bagaii e i tusanèt» (goose palio for all the town's boys and girls), aimed at all the youngest residents. Among the town's places of worship are also the churches of San Lucio, Santa Maria degli Angeli and Sant'Anna.
