The patron saint of Macherio is Saint Cassian, celebrated on the last Sunday of August in the Church of Santi Cassiano e Gervasio, with a great feast running through the whole town centre.
The town holds Villa Belvedere and the Oratory of Santa Margherita, and borders the Lambro Valley Park.
