The patrons of Giussano are Saints Philip and James and Our Lady of the Rosary: the latter, whose statue stands atop the column at the centre of Piazza Roma, is celebrated annually on the first Sunday of October.
Each hamlet of the municipality, however, holds its own distinct patron: Robbiano celebrates Saints Quiricus and Julietta, Birone Saint Stephen, and Paina-Brugazzo Saint Margaret. Not far from the town square stands the basilica dedicated to the apostles, Giussano's main place of worship.
