The patron of Candia Lomellina is the Madonna del Rosario (Our Lady of the Rosary), celebrated on the first Sunday and the first Monday of October. Every first Sunday of October, in the main square, the Palio del Marenghìn is also held, in which the five contrade (districts) of Candia compete for victory in a series of challenges and games.
On Shrove Tuesday the «Processo con rogo della Pierina» (Trial and burning of Pierina) recalls in the town centre the sacrifice of a historical figure who spied for the Piedmontese; in July the Sagra dell'Alborella (bleak fish festival) is held, devoted to one of the typical fish of the Lomellina served in different ways. Among the places of the municipality are the Santuario di Santa Maria delle Grazie and the Monumento naturale Garzaia della Rinalda.
