On the Sunday closest to 29 June Brinzio, a municipality of 873 inhabitants in the province of Varese, celebrates its patrons Saints Peter and Paul with religious processions.

Among the most representative traditions of Brinzio's folklore are the religious processions on the occasion of the patronal feast of Saints Peter and Paul, usually held on the Sunday closest to 29 June, and the one in honour of the Madonna del Rosario, on the first Sunday of September. The municipality holds the Chiesa dei Santi Pietro e Paolo.

Lay and playful in character are the Befana del Fondista, a torchlight walk along the cross-country ski trail followed by a bonfire, and the «Cavagna di oeuv» (in dialect «basket of eggs»), a bowls contest winding through the streets of the old town to celebrate Easter Monday and the return of spring. In 1935 the people of Brinzio presented the allegorical float of the «Balena da Brinsc» (whale of Brinzio) at the Varese carnival parade.
