The patron of Germignaga is Saint John the Baptist, celebrated on 24 June in the Church of Santi Giovanni Battista e Rocco.
One of the town's oldest traditions is the Intiéro procession, held on Good Friday and documented by local tradition since at least 1686, preceded by a re-enactment of the deposition. The feast of the Madonna del Rosario, traditionally celebrated on the first Sunday of October with a procession through the town's streets, is tied to the preparation of croccante di Germignaga, a sweet made of almonds, sugar and honey. On the night of 31 December, meanwhile, the traditional «Se brusa ul vecc» event is held. The town also holds the Church of San Carlo Borromeo.
