The patron saint of Samarate is Saint Roch, celebrated on 16 August in the Chiesa San Rocco di Samarate.
The town is known for the Agusta Museum, dedicated to the historic motorcycle manufacturer. In the hamlet of San Macario, from 2008 to 2011, the «Palio delle Contrade» was held, with group games divided by age among the town's four districts; in recent years, during the April parish feast, a costumed re-enactment of old trades and dwellings has also been organised. The municipal territory also holds the church of the Santissima Trinità and the church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary.
