On 18 September Osimo celebrates its patron, Saint Joseph of Copertino, who died and rests in the basilica dedicated to him; until 1967 the patrons were Saint Victor and Saint Corona.

The treasury of the cathedral of San Leopardo also holds the reliquary of the Holy Cross attributed to Gian Lorenzo Bernini, which tradition holds contains a splinter of the Cross of Christ.
