The patron of Montegiorgio is Saint George, celebrated on 23 April.
The town is linked to the Caciù, or calcione, a typical Montegiorgio carnival pastry: the filling was originally made of ground fava beans, chickpeas or cheese, while modern versions have added ingredients such as cocoa and chocolate. The town also holds the Church of Santi Liberato e Vitale, the Teatro Alaleona and its own curious Eiffel Tower.
