The patron saint of Porto San Giorgio is Saint George, celebrated on 23 April in the church dedicated to him.
On 14 August, the Festa del Mare (Sea Festival) is held, born in the late 1960s to commemorate an event that took place on 7 April 1795, when the fishermen of Porto San Giorgio went on strike because the boat owners refused to raise their pay. Due to its key role in the defence of Fermo, Castel San Giorgio was also granted the right to lead the Cavalcata dell'Assunta procession, on 15 August. The town also holds the walls of the Rocca Tiepolo and the church of the Rosario.
