The patron of Fermignano is Saint Veneranda, celebrated on 26 July in the Church of Santa Veneranda.
On the Sunday after Easter, the Palio della rana is run: a race between the town's districts with wooden wheelbarrows each carrying a frog, won by whoever arrives first with the frog still on board. The tradition dates back to 1607. Saint Veneranda, traditionally believed to have lived in the 2nd century, is also venerated in other towns of central Italy. The town also holds the Roman Furlo Gallery and the Church of Santa Maria Maddalena.
