The patrons of Cameri are Saint Michael the Archangel and Saint Gregoria, celebrated on the second Monday of September. The parish church of San Michele Arcangelo, in Piazza Dante Alighieri, enlarged an earlier late-16th-century building: its current appearance is due to the design of engineer Michele Mazzucchelli, and the church was built between 1845 and 1852, the year of its consecration as well.
The patronal feast is held in mid-September with the traditional games between the town's four districts, Aquila, Cavallo, Pantera and Serpente, established in 1987; the following Monday sees the traditional donkey race, called in the Camerese dialect «al grand prix da Cambra», with the Palio awarded to the winning district. Among the town's other religious buildings are the church of the Santissimo Sacramento and the church of Santa Maria Assunta, as well as the church of the Santissimo Nome di Gesù.
