The patron of Crispiano is Our Lady of the Snows, celebrated on 5 August.
In the past, in the second ten days of July, the Carnevale Estivo del Brigantino was held, also known as the «Carnevale del Fegatino»: a food festival with allegorical floats and costumed groups, now fallen into disuse. On 14 November 1919, Crispiano gained municipal autonomy, separating from the Municipality of Taranto, and marked its centenary in 2019. The town holds the Torre di Cacace and the Masseria Lupoli.
