Menfi celebrates Saint Anthony of Padua on 13 June; his mother church, begun in 1662 and completed after 1700, was destroyed by the 1968 Belice earthquake and later rebuilt, after being for centuries, together with the Frederick Tower and the Pignatelli palace, one of the town's main architectural landmarks.
