The patron saint of Menfi is Saint Anthony of Padua, celebrated on 13 June. The mother church dedicated to him was begun in 1662 and completed after 1700, later being raised to parish status in 1705: its interior consisted of three wide naves and five arches, and the church, together with the Frederick Tower, the Pignatelli palace and the 1927 town hall, formed one of the town's main architectural landmarks. Destroyed by the 1968 Belice earthquake, it was later rebuilt.
Among Menfi's other religious buildings are the church of San Giuseppe, erected in 1715 with a façade adorned with inlays and pilasters and a triangular-plan bell tower; the church of the Purgatorio, built between 1739 and 1769 and dedicated to the Blessed Virgin of Consolation and Saint Anthony the Abbot, whose rustic façade dominates the district of the same name; and the church of Maria Santissima Addolorata, built around 1813 and decorated with fine stuccoes and friezes.
