The patron saint of Ravanusa is Saint Vitus, celebrated on 15 June. The townspeople, however, hold an even greater devotion to Mary Most Holy Assumed into Heaven, celebrated on 15 August with a solemn procession carrying the Madonna through the town's streets: the feast is popularly called «festa di mezz'agustu», because it falls in the middle of the month, and lasts a whole week of celebrations.
The inhabitants of Ravanusa are nicknamed «'ncacinati», and the town preserves traces of its history in the archaeological museum named after Salvatore Lauricella and in the old state mill.
