Mary Most Holy of the Mazzaro, patroness of a basilica designed by a «servant of God»
📅 Every year, on the third Sunday of September
Mazzarino celebrates Mary Most Holy of the Mazzaro on the third Sunday of September; the basilica-sanctuary dedicated to her was designed in 1739 by the Syracusan architect Carmelo Natale Bonajuto, at the wish of the Capuchin friar Ludovico Napoli da Mazzarino.
