The patroness of Brolo is Mary Most Holy Annunciate, celebrated on 25 March, with the church dedicated to her. Every year, on the occasion of the Festa del Mare, the statue of the Christ of the Abyss, normally placed on the seabed facing the rock that rises in front of the seafront, is made to «resurface» and hoisted onto the rock itself, where it remains for a few days before being placed back underwater.
Brolo also preserves its own castle, as well as the churches of the hamlets of Piana and Iannello.
