The patron saint of Furci Siculo is the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Rosary, proclaimed patron with the recognition of the Holy See and celebrated every year on the first Sunday of October, with a feast preceded by a novena. The statue group of the Madonna del Rosario, from 1970, is carried in procession every year.
Documents from the early 17th century attest that the current town was called «Quarteri di li Furchi», because of the gallows used for capital executions in the Terra di Savoca, once located near the present-day chapel of Sant'Antonio da Padova. Before the mother church, dedicated to Santa Maria del Rosario, was built, religious rites were celebrated in the church of the Madonna della Lettera, dating from the 17th century, which still preserves a painting depicting the Madonna della Lettera from 1871. The municipal coat of arms depicts a tower flanked by two palm trees, recalling the old district of Palma, once located between the territory of Furci and that of Roccalumera.
