Located 30 kilometres southwest of Messina and 170 kilometres east of Palermo, Mandanici is positioned in the Metropolitan City of Messina. The town has a population of 629 residents and belongs to the Union of Municipalities of the Peloritani Ionic Valleys.
Known in the local dialect as Mannanici, the municipality shares its borders with five surrounding towns: Fiumedinisi, Nizza di Sicilia, Pagliara, Roccalumera, and Santa Lucia del Mela.
