The main patroness of Roccalumera is Our Lady of the Rosary, proclaimed as such in 1674 and venerated in the Baroque mother and archpriestal church of the hamlet of Allume, celebrated on the first Sunday of October. Since 2004 she has been joined as co-patron by Saint Anthony of Padua, celebrated on 13 June: on that day the faithful come from the whole area to the sanctuary dedicated to him for Mass and blessed bread, while in the afternoon the statue of the saint is carried in procession along the whole of Via Umberto I. The sanctuary also holds the remains of the venerable Francesco Maria di Francia and the servant of God Veronica Briguglio, founders of the Cappuccine del Sacro Cuore.
In late August, in the Baglio-Ficara quarter, the medieval procession and historical re-enactment of the 1392 Miracle of the Chains takes place, ending in the crowded Piazza del Crocifisso. In the upper part of the hamlet of Allume stands instead the very old Byzantine chapel of San Michele Arcangelo, possibly dating from the 11th-12th century, whose statue is carried in procession from the mother church during the patronal feast.
