Saint Marina, the patroness brought to the Aeolian Islands by colonists fleeing Venice
📅 Every year, on 17 July
Santa Marina Salina celebrates Saint Marina on 17 July: her cult, and the town's very name, spread on the island from the 16th century, probably brought by colonists of Venetian origin, since the saint is co-patroness of Venice.
