Situated 200 metres above sea level, Leni is home to 702 residents on the Aeolian island of Salina. The settlement rests on a southern hillside, directly positioned between the twin volcanic peaks of Monte Fossa and Monte dei Porri.
Located 70 kilometres northwest of Messina and 140 kilometres northeast of Palermo, this Sicilian municipality shares its borders with the island's only two other districts, Malfa and Santa Marina Salina.
