Saint Anne, patroness of a town that was King Roger II's hunting reserve
📅 Every year, on 26 July
Altofonte celebrates Saint Anne on 26 July; the town, called «U Parcu» in Sicilian, owes its name to having been the residence and hunting reserve of the king of Sicily Roger II, with the Ruggeriano Palace still visible today.
