On 15 June comes the feast of the patron, Saint Vitus the martyr. It starts in the afternoon with the old game of the antenna a mare: a wooden beam ten metres long, suspended over the water and made slippery with a layer of soap, which the competitors must walk along to seize the little flag at its end.
Then there is the landing of the Saints on the beach: at sunset three costumed figures arrive from the sea on a small boat. Meanwhile, inside the sanctuary the statue of Saint Vitus is dressed with the votive offerings of the faithful, then solemnly presented and carried on the shoulders of the devout in the final procession, which goes right round the town. It all ends with fireworks.
