The patron of Silandro is Our Lady of the Assumption, celebrated on 15 August in the Church of Santa Maria Assunta.
On 5 December, called «devil's day» (Tuifltog), up to a hundred participants run in the afternoon through the town's streets in groups, dressed as Krampus, for the feast of Saint Nicholas. On Shrove Tuesday, instead, the carnival mask procession is held, animated by local cultural associations. The town also holds Castel Schlandersburg and Castel Schlandersberg.
