The patron of Pitigliano is Saint Roch, celebrated on 16 August in the Church of Santa Maria e San Rocco.
Every 19 March, the traditional Torciata di San Giuseppe is held, a Pitiglianese feast celebrating the arrival of spring with a historical costume procession through the streets of the old town. The town also holds the Duomo di Pitigliano and the Shrine of the Madonna delle Grazie, as well as the rock-cut oratory.
