The patron of Roccalbegna is Saint Christopher (San Cristoforo), celebrated on 25 July.
At Santa Caterina, on the evening of 24 November, the eve of the «birthday» of Saint Catherine of Alexandria, the ancient fire rite, the «Focarazza», is held: the parish priest climbs in procession up the hill and blesses a pile of brushwood and logs with a long turkey-oak pole, the «stollo», planted in the middle; when the fire dies down the men of the village, divided by contrada, go into action. The Museo della focarazza is housed at Santa Caterina. In August the tripe festival is held, and on the first Sunday of October the palio dei somarelli (donkey race).
