The patron saint of Bientina is Saint Valentine the Martyr, venerated on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday of Pentecost.
His remains, brought in 1699 from the catacombs of San Callisto on the Via Appia, have been kept for over three centuries in a gilded urn. The first edition of the Carnevale Bientinese was held in 1939; suspended with the outbreak of war, it resumed in 1988, with masked parades and five handcrafted allegorical floats through the town centre. The town also holds the Church of San Domenico and Palazzo Pancani.
