The patron saint of San Giuliano Terme is Saint Bartholomew the Apostle, whose feast falls on 24 August. The feast was officially established in 1909, when the substantial agricultural growth of the early 20th century also led to the creation of the Pontasserchio livestock fair, known as the Agrifiera: born in 1889 as an event to promote the Pisan cow breed, it was expanded to cover all livestock farming and given its current name that same year, while today it is held at the end of April.
The municipal territory preserves important evidence of water's passage towards Pisa: the Roman aqueduct of Caldaccoli and, above all, the imposing Medici aqueduct, whose arches still cross the landscape today. Among the other historic sites stand out the amphitheatre carved out of the North-East quarry and the Cornazzano tower, while the municipality's own name recalls the area's thermal tradition, known for its waters since ancient times.
