The patroness of Agliana is the Assumption of Mary, celebrated on 15 August.
Every year in September, as part of the patronal feast, the Palio dei Ciuchi (Donkey Palio) is run at Spedalino: the challenge pits the town's five districts — Tre Campane, il Confine, Ponte di Ferro, i Tigli and le Querci — against each other, competing for the palio riding a donkey. The municipal territory also holds the Church of San Niccolò and the Church of San Michele Arcangelo.
