The patron saint of Quarrata is Our Lady of the Girdle, celebrated on the first Tuesday of September.
The feast coincides with the Settembre Quarratino, an event including various town initiatives. In summer, the town also holds the Palio dei Rioni di Quarrata, a sporting event involving all the municipality's hamlets, while towards the end of June the Quarrata Folk Festival takes place, a two-day music event. Every three years, on Good Friday, a solemn procession in costume is held through the town, re-enacting the Passion of Christ, popularly known as the «Procession of the Dead Christ».
