Mirano celebrates Saint Michael the Archangel on 29 September; the town is also known for the Saint Matthew Fair, authorised by the Senate of the Republic of Venice in 1477 and still among the area's most cherished events today.

The patron saint of Mirano is Saint Michael the Archangel, celebrated on 29 September.

On 6 September 1477 the Senate of the Republic of Venice decreed and authorised the Monday market and the Saint Matthew Fair, originally set for 21, 22 and 23 September: even today the «Grand Saint Matthew Fair» is held on the Sunday following the third Monday of the month. Tradition has it that an agreement between the citizens of Mirano and those of Mestre established that the latter could continue to hold their main fair precisely on the day of Saint Michael the Archangel, patron saint of Mirano. The town also holds the Duomo, Villa Belvedere and Villa Morosini.
