Roveredo di Guà

Province: Verona · Region: Veneto · Population: 1,541 · Postal code: 37040

Where three provincial boundaries meet, at località Cicogna, stands an oratory with three altars: one is in the province of Verona, one in that of Vicenza and one in that of Padua. Mass is no longer said there, but the building stands, and it goes on being in three places at once.

The name comes from an oak wood, roburetu, and «di Guà» is the river, added so as not to be confused with the others. The bell tower, of 1907, is fifty-seven metres high and has six bells tuned to ring in concert. In winter the village holds a red radicchio auction three times a week, and the price that comes out of it is the reference for much of the lower Verona, Vicenza and Padua country.
