The patrons of Canosa Sannita are Saints Philip and James, celebrated on 1 May, to whom the Chiesa dei Santi Filippo e Giacomo is dedicated; Saint Roch is also venerated, and his feast is celebrated on the Sunday after 16 August.
On the occasion of the feast of Saint Anthony the «carri di Sant'Antonio» (Saint Anthony's floats) parade through the streets and, after mass, one can watch the performance of «Lu Sant'Antonjie» and the sale of blessed taralli; on the first Sunday of September, in the district of Santa Maria d'Orni, Maria Santissima Addolorata (Our Lady of Sorrows) is celebrated.
