The patron saint of San Salvo is Saint Vitalis, celebrated on 28 April.
About two weeks before the feast, the «sagnitelle» tradition is held, a type of pasta offered to residents: on this occasion, carts and horses parade through the town's streets, carrying flour to be blessed. Of great historical importance was the existence of the Cistercian monastery of the Saints Vitus and Salvo of the Trigno. Also deeply felt is the devotion to Saint Roch, whose small statue is celebrated in September. The town also holds the Quadrilatero Archaeological Park and the church of San Giuseppe.
